Welcome to the live coverage of the third stage on the Dakar 2026! Today, the rally-raid will be plunging into the post-card like setting of AlUla. The competitors will be tackling a hefty morsel of 736 kilometres, including a 421-kilometre special that promises to be a real conundrum. We venture onto sandy tracks into the giant postcard-perfect landscape that awaits visitors to the AlUla region. Nature’s creativity and the march of centuries have worked wonders, sculpting improbable rock formations, which also make navigation tricky. In the second part of the special stage, the increasing number of tracks will make interpreting the roadbook difficult, especially since landmarks are scarce. We will proceed cautiously on the return journey.
