Sunday 28 November at 11 am (Paris time) - Presentation of the 2022 Dakar

Two spectator zones in each stage

Navigation is paramount in the Dakar. It is crucial to keep the course under wraps so that all competitors start on even footing. The rally organisers have therefore developed a new road book distribution system under which the courses are only revealed at the last possible time.

However, the Dakar is also a celebration for the spectators who turn out every day to cheer on the competitors and see them in action. Two waypoints will therefore be announced and secured for each stage in order to accommodate fans under the best possible conditions. Their locations will be made public every day at 6 am via the rally's social media pages.
