AMBITIONS 2025
“My last Dakar was amazing! I loved the new level of competition: it was more physical and technical. It was definitely a demanding adventure but also an unforgettable one. I hope that in 2025 there will be fewer dunes than in the last 48h chrono stage. This year was a different one for me. I got married on April 24th to my lovely wife Alessia. So, I did fewer races and more ‘honey’... but I trained as much as I could, as always. The two iconic events for me this year were the Red Bull Romaniacs in July and the FIM Six Days Vintage in Camerino. I also broke a new record. The idea was simply to present the new Dakar bike in a different way, but in the end, we created a huge event. The record for the ‘deepest depth driven by a motorcycle underwater’ combines my two great passions: off-road motorcycling and scuba diving. This record aims to inspire cross-generations by decontextualising the world of motorcycles and scuba diving in a unique and colorful way. I reached a depth of 42 meters with my rally bike and surfaced in a controlled trim, always on the saddle. It was tough and crazy… I think even more than the Dakar itself! For 2025, my goal is to reach the finish line while creating proper storytelling for all the Italian fans. In July, I received an unexpected proposal from Honda to race the most epic rally in the world with an HRC prototype. It was impossible to say no. It will be a new and challenging adventure that gives me even more motivation and commitment to aim for the podium in Shubaytah.”
