Split routes

As was the case yesterday, the FIA and FIM specials will follow a different route. The cars will cover a slightly longer distance (488 kilometres) than the bikes. The first FIA vehicle will start the special at 7h35, 30 minutes after the first bike.

Heading to the capital

Stage 8 will take the race caravan from Al Duwadimi to Riyadh. The first biker to start, namey Daniel Sanders, left the at 5.40. The programme for the 2-wheelers is a road section of 72 km, a 484-km special which will start at 7.05, then a second road section of 178 km, meaning they have a total of 734 km to cover!
