- Martin Prokes is no stranger to the dirt and dust, as his life turns around motorbikes and… his farm! Martin is good in driving tractors and combine harvesters, but also when he’s on 2-wheels. He started at the age of 7, initiated by his father who was a motocross lover. Since then, he has risen through the ranks to establish himself as one of the best riders of his country.
- The Ostrava rider is one of the faces of the next generation of Czech motorcyclists, inspired by national performers such as Martin Michek and Jan Brabec. He was one of the youngest competitors of the bikes race (25 years old), but also one of the fastest rookies, finishing 43th overall. He was going for a similar result in 2025 before suffering an engine problem. He’s not only a good rally-raid rider: he also won some Czech Republic enduro titles in his career.
- One of the fastest farmers of the bivouac is still looking for a Top 30 result, but in a new configuration in 2026: he will participate with his own team and limited resources, which will add some difficulty of his adventure... but also some authenticity!
Ambition
M.P.: “Dakar was my long-term dream, my first was in 2024 and I reached my goal, that was to make it to the finish line! Dakar 2025 was good for me… until Stage 6, when I seized the engine. After that, I decided to continue thanks to the joker, and did not take any more risks. For 2026, the goal is mainly about emotions as I will live a completely different experience. This year we are riding alone for our team, so we’re going with the van, the mechanic/manager and me as the rider. Of course, I would like to fight for the Top 30, but I know that it will not be easy. It is sometimes difficult to combine my work with motorcycles, especially during the summer harvest, but I have a good boss so that's great!”
