CREW FACTS

P.B.

  • Piotr Beaupre remembers that, during his childhood in the 60’s, someone who came from France or Germany with a VW Golf GTI, was like the king of the city ! Everybody wanted to sit inside the car. Piotr drove his first racing car at the age of 15: it was the Fiat 126, the family car of his parents ! The first times he took it, it was when his parents were busy so he never knew if they were aware of it. As a kid, he never dreamed about any kind of cars, as he just did not have the possibility for it
  • He started working as a car mechanic near Brussels in Belgium at the age of 17 during 3 months. Started to fall in love with second hand cars, it was the beginning of his love affair with cars. A couple of years later, he switched to off road, ex-military russian cars and finally the Dakar.
  • Piotr competes since he's 18 in races all over the world: Africa, European Baja races and Mongolia. His first off road rally took place in Poland in 1995 with a Ford Mutt (Military Utility Tactical Truck). Piotr is also a two times Berlin-Wrocław rally driver (7 days marathon) with a Range Rover Classic. Finished 11th in 1998. Two-times Polish rallyes vice-champion in 1999 and 2000 with Jacek Lisicki on a Mitsubishi Pajero. Also took part in over 100 rallyes, baja marathons, 4 Moscow-Beijing and a dozen times in 24 hours races in France and Portugal.
  • Piotr prepared Dakar 2025 during one month in Morocco with Konrad Dabrowski and his father Marek, plus, of course, Jacek Czachor, his copilot. It's Piotr 5th Dakar (first since 2015).
  • Piotr Beaupre's last Dakar took place ten years ago, in 2015. For which reason? Piotr decided to liquidate his entire sports team in 2016 while quiting from rallying. An additional reason is the crisis in the renewable energy industry that year, which meant an increase in his responsibilities. And after managing this crisis, Piotr quickly had to deal with growth management. He managed to build the n°1 company in Poland for green biogas and biomethane and one of the largest wind farm and PV dealers in Poland. And as a reward for this success, he decided to return to Dakar by changing the BMW X3 CC from the X-Raid stable to the SSV from the South Racing stable.

J.C.

  • Among his polish peers, Jacek Czachor is literally considered as a motorsports legend. In fact, not just within the polish community. Jacek is one of the most regular bikers of the 21st century on the Dakar. He participated 13 times on 2 wheels (17 times total) and managed to finish 8 times within the Top 20 pilots (best spots, 10th in 2004 and 2007). Last but not least, he also acted 4 times as a copilot, finishing 7th overall in 2014 (with Marek Dabrowski, the father of Konrad who makes the Dakar with a KTM).
  • Dakar's idol is Stephane Peterhansel as he also rode motorcycles and won both on 2 and 4 wheels. Younger, they used to compete in the same enduro rallies. "Peter" was a role model for him because of his skills and his ultra domination during his Dakar years.
  • Jacek also played football when he used to be a child. But quickly, anything that had wheels would come straight to his mind. He started driving a motorcycle at the age of 12: it was the start of a real passion! Although he loves speed, he's also attracted by... family cars

2025 AMBITIONS

P.B: “The winners are at the end, so the most important thing is to finish. I finished 3 times on 4 before. Would love to be in the Top 20. When you're at the Dakar, you ask yourself what you're doing here and at the end of the rally, you start thinking about the next one...”

J.C: “I will keep this short and simple: my main goal is to get to the finish line, but also cherish and explore the beautiful sights of Saudi Arabia during the race. We had a good preparation during one month in Morocco with Konrad (Dabrowski) and his father, riding a motorcycle and the Can-Am in the desert. As a child, I dreamed of one day taking part in the Dakar. I didn't think it would be a dream come true.”
