P.V.D.B:
- Peter Van Den Bosch is back on the Dakar for the first time since 2015.
- He will take part to his seventh Dakar, his first in Saudi Arabia and his first in the Classic class. He scored his best result in 2013 with a 10th-place finish in truck category.
- In preparation for this year’s Dakar, he did some rallies in the United States as well as in Mexico and trained in Morocco.
- He is a successful businessman in transportation and a father of five children.
H.B:
- Peter Van Den Bosch’s friend, Hans Brand will be lining up for his first Dakar in 2025 in the Classic category as a codriver.
- He is not a novice as a driver: living in California, he did some races like Heroes Legend, some rallies in the US such as the Vegas to Reno rally and he also raced in Mexico in the NORRA 1000 and in Baja 500.
- This Dakar will be his maiden experience as a codriver, but his main goal is to have fun.
AMBITIONS 2025
P.VDB: “This will be my 7th Dakar, with six of them in South America in the truck category. I’ve spent time practicing in the Moroccan desert, and for me, it’s all about having fun with the friends in my team. Over the past years, I’ve taken part in rallies in the US and Mexico.”
H.B: “Peter and I did the first Heroes Legends together from Paris to Dakar. It was a wild and fun adventure with a few hick ups along the way. But we manage to go over the finish line together which till today is still one of my favorite adventures ever! That brings us to Dakar 2025. It has always been on my bucket list and when Peter came up with this plan to do the Classic with a group of friends my decision was easy: ‘hell yes!!’ After Peter did his last Dakar in the truck class, he wanted to check out the Baja 500 and we did this together and finished in our first try. We have done the NORRA 1000 couple of times, winning our class in our first attempt and we have finished the Vegas to Reno together. My goal for 2025 is to finish. My first time reading on a roadbook so I can see us getting lost a few times, but the main goal is to have a really good time doing it. I was scheduled to do the Vegas to Reno, but we had a setback.”
