PAMELA BOZZANO

2022 : 8th T3 Rallye du Maroc
“I hesitate, but not for very long”
Three years ago Pamela Bozzano’s sports mad husband Enio started racing an SSV in the Brazilian national championship. Like her husband, Pamela is also always up for a challenge and after a year of spectating decided she’d like to have a go too. And it turns out she’s rather good. So good in fact that this year she won the production SSV class on the Rally dos Sertoes AND the national championship. Guess who her co-driver was? Enio of course, or as he is now known in Brazilian racing circles ‘Pamela’s husband’… Knowing that her husband never does anything by halves Pamela wasn’t that surprised when he suggested that they enter the Dakar. But in the interests of matrimonial harmony no question of them sharing the same vehicle! Enio is going with his poker buddy (OK, he has also raced cross-country on a motorcycle) while Pamela has opted for the services of one of Brazil’s most experienced co-drivers, Carlos Sachs. Both will be relying on the French outfit Team BBR / Pole Position for assistance after their successful Dakar shake down on the Rallye du Maroc. A race where Mrs Bozzano finished 8th in the T3 class to her husband’s 17th place… Let battle commence!
“I wasn’t that surprised when my husband suggested entering the Dakar because he never does anything by half… I hesitate, but not for very long… but on the condition that we didn’t share a car. The Rallye du Maroc went really well for us. Carlos (Sachs) did a great job with the navigation and Team BBR did a great job with the assistance. Hopefully everything will go as smoothly on the Dakar…”
