Javi Vega set the second-fastest time in the prologue, 35 seconds off the pace. The Spaniard, racing in his eighth Dakar, is a leading contender for the Original by Motul trophy. He was the runner-up in 2023. Last year he traded his Yamaha for a Kove. Now better acquainted with his Chinese machine, he hopes to ride it to victory in the class for riders without service crews....
