MARATHON REFUGE > BISHA

Unlike others, this is a multifaceted special. It will be “sand ahoy” for almost 200 km, featuring the white dunes typical of the region. A handful of fast sections will raise the modest pace, but not by a lot. The last 150 km are littered with stones and other hazards that will force the field to ease up again. There is more to rally raids than simply pushing the pedal to the metal or twisting the throttle all the way back. The old adage that brain beats brawn rings especially true in this marathon stage held on the eve of the rest day.
