The field will zip down majestic canyons on its way to AlUla. This is the point where the rubber hits the road. The first part of the special will take competitors on stony tracks, but drivers and navigators will be relieved to hear that a pit stop is scheduled at the end of this sequence for service crews to swap out tyres. However, the vehicles will spend much of the day on sandy terrain, blasting down wadis or along the famous historic Hejaz railway. The special will draw to a close in the heart of the bivouac.
