Francisco ‘Chaleco’ López: “We attacked full-on”

‘Chaleco’ López, who finished second on the day’s stage, did his utmost to try and make up time on Cristina Gutiérez. However, the Spaniard held firm and only conceded 35 second to the Chilean. The Chilean Can-Am driver still requires eight minutes to reach the third step of the final podium.

“We attacked full on today. It was difficult because there was a lot of dust, it was even dangerous at times. I couldn’t overtake Cristina because of it. At the end of the day, we had a good stage. There are three days left and we need to remained focused and avoid making mistakes”.
