Tocha Schareina: “I just made a mistake yesterday”

Tosha Schareina, who was third today, was unable to capitalise on being fifth rider to start the stage this morning to make up for time lost yesterday following a 10-minute penalty. Winner Daniel Sanders, who is expected to receive a 6-minute penalty, has experienced a similar scenario today. This has allowed Schareina to avoid dropping too far down the overall rankings, in which he still occupies 4th place, nearly 12 minutes behind ‘Chucky’.

 “The KTM guys opened all day in the dunes and it was a bit quicker than I expected it to be. I didn’t get any bonuses. I just made a mistake yesterday. Now, I’m going to just going to focus on the second week of the rally”.
