“I hope Dakar 2024 will be part of my story”
Marcos Baumgart and Kleber Cincea are huge off-road enthusiasts, with Marcos having participated in no less than 22 Rally does Sertoes! They made their first Dakar appearance together back in 2013 but failed to make it to the final finish line. They returned in 2019 aboard a Can-Am Maverick and rectified that with a 6th place in class with some serious competition. And now they’re back again with plenty of ambition, a fast car and a programme that includes the 2024 W2RC. Along with Marcos’ brother Cristian and his co-driver Alberto Andreotti, they first raced their X Rally Team supported Prodrive Hunter on the 2023 Sonora Rally, where they posted a stage podium to finish 9th overall. Then back on home turf they won the T1+ class and finished second overall on the Rally dos Sertoes, before a final Dakar shakedown at the Rally du Maroc, with all the top drivers present, saw them 7th across the line. According to those in the know, despite some extremely tough opposition, a finish in the Dakar top 10 is by no means out of the question.

The region of AlUla is ideal for such a sample, with sandy portions that were followed by rocky zones and even several...
Marcos Baumgart is back
Marcos Baumgart has also made a comeback on the Dakar. After having dropped out prematurely on his first participation in 2013, he enjoyed better fortune in 2019 by finishing sixth in the SSV category. This year, the Brazilian is taking part in the Ultimate class behind the wheel of a Prodrive backed by X Rally Team. For the moment, he is the second best Hunter representative...
