“I’ve admired all the Dakar competitors”
CREW FACTS
J.B.
- Jan Barta was six years old when he fell in love with motorsports. He made his motocross debut at nine, then discovered car racing at fifteen. Since rallying was financially challenging, he started autocrossing, something he still does today.
- The Czech competitor is a keen driver. As well as autocrossing, he also owns a Scania truck. He even recently bought a Jawa 500 in order to do flat-track on ice!
- He is competing with a Mitsubishi Pajero bought from Slovakian driver Peter Florek. And unlike last year, the Enjoy Motorsport crew will have an assistance truck in order to help two cars: Jan Barta's Mitsubishi, and the one driven by Jan Vins.
P.S.
- Petr Svec has already been a mechanic on the Dakar Classic for the Czech Samurais team. He is now taking the right seat to co-drive Jan Barta in his first participation.
- The two Enjoy Motorsport team vehicles and the support truck were prepared in the workshops of the Technical and Craft School from Novy Bydzov, with the help of the students. One of them is even taking part in the Dakar Rally.
2025 AMBITIONS
J.B.: “When I was young, I wanted to be a motocross World Champion. I have ve watched the Dakar on television since I was a child and I have admired all the competitors who have taken part, whether on a motorbike, in a car or driving a truck. This is my first Dakar participation, so the main thing will be to finish the race.”
