RIDER FACTS…
- Ahmed Al Jaber is a man of many lives and passions. His every day job isn’t a really common one. He is indeed a “very” deep sea diver and water welder working on gas and oil rigs. He admits having spent three years of his life under water. He also sometimes remains 28 consecutive days in decompression chambers to then be able to dive with mixed gasses. Also his deepest dive was at 107m in France.
- And when he’s not under water, he’s a bit of a warrior. The first part of his sporting life was in MMA cages becoming Saudi Arabian champion in 2011 before retiring in 2018.
- Bikes have also always been part of his life. He started riding when he was a child, but things got far more serious in 2019 when he really started competing.
- A regular figure on rallies across his region he had decided to come on the Dakar back in 2020 when the event was first held in Saudi Arabia but too busy with work, the 31-year-old had to push back that first attempt.
- He decided to give up his job to really prepare during a full year and will finally be on the start line of the world’s toughest rally come January. The fighter, as he considers himself has decided to register in the Original by Motul class because that’s the true test he’s looking for.
AMBITION 2025
A.A.J.: “I decided to the Dakar on 2020 but due to working days offshore I couldn’t make it, so I gave up my job to train all year and participate in Dakar 2025. I’m a fighter, so this is the best way to test the ultimate reasons not to tap out. I go there to compete of course. Why Original by Motul? Because the true test of a man is to make it a life alone”.
