It is requested from competitors registered for Dakar 2021 to follow a first-aid formation certified by the Ministry of Health of their country.
In case of necessity due to potential race incidents that are inherent risks to rally-raid, the objective is to be able to assist another competitor before our experimented medical team arrives.
During this basic first-aid training, you will learn simple safety procedures through situation examples: protecting a patient, how to react accurately to an emergency situation after a shock, an hemorrhage, burns, heart attack, loss of consciousness and/or congestion of respiratory tracts.
In France, you can attend the standard formation « Prévention et Secours Civique de niveau 1 (PSC1) » that generally takes a day (7 hours) with the Civil Protection services, the Red Cross or some approved formation centers.
