Guerlain Chicherit: “Alex had his best day with the navigation today, it was really awesome”

Guerlain Chicherit's second win in a row, and his ability to take advantage of his rivals' misfortunes, has moved him up to fourth place in the general rankings. With just one day to go to the end of the rally, the Toyota driver still has a chance of a podium finish, with just seven minutes separating him from Sébastien Loeb.

“It was a really, really tough stage. We had to open it all day because when you win the day before that’s what you gain the following day. The navigation was extremely, extremely difficult. Alex had his best day with the navigation today, it was really awesome. It was good, the car ran well. We didn’t get any punctures. We were really careful at the beginning and around the rocks because we were expecting a lot of rocks at the end of the stage, so I wanted to finish the stage with the two spare wheels still in brand new condition and try to take the chance to push at the end. That’s what we have done so far, so it’s pretty good for now”.
