Mason Klein, on his brand-new Kove, achieved the 10th best time on the prologue, almost one minute behind the winner. The American will be among the privileged few Rally GP riders who will be able to choose their starting position for stage 1 among the 22 places in the class.

“This is my first real time pushing the bike and I was really happy with it. I’ve definitely got to try and work on my fuel strategy because I was kind of worried I’d run out, honestly. There’s a lot to learn about this new bike. Normally you have a team telling you how much to in. I’m kind of just guessing everything right now, but we’re here and I’m really happy. At the beginning with the roadbook I was a little rusty because I haven’t ridden in a bit. I haven’t used a roadbook in a while, actually. Near the end, I started being able to cut the corners and anticipate the next note. I was feeling really good and starting to get back to my normal self”.
