Henk Lategan: “It was still quite physical”

3rd on the day’s stage, Henk Lategan took advantage of the mishaps suffered by the Audi clan and his team-mate Yazeed Al Rajhi to climb into 2nd provisional position, a little more than one houre behind his team leader Nasser Al Attiyah.

“I think we’re more tired from yesterday and the day before. Today was not as hard as the few days before this, but it was still quite physical. There were a lot of blind drops in the dunes that were difficult to see. But we had a decent run and a clean stage. In the middle of the stage, we stopped for Yazeed. I don’t know what happened to him, but he stopped us and we gave him a drive shaft. I’m not sure what happened to him but I’m happy to have reached the end”.
