The four times winner of the truck category for Kamaz on the Dakar won his second special of the year and is now only 8’51’’ behind general rankings leader Dmitry Sotnikov with three stages before the finish.

“For us, it was a very interesting stage. There were a lot of rocks and a lot of dust. Every kilometre was very dusty due to all the buggies, motorbikes, cars and trucks. Today, we had a little bit of navigation, but my crew coped with the task perfectly. My co-pilot was the best today and I am happy. We need eight minutes, but we have three days and I will go fast, fast, fast. I will try… I will try”.
