“It was an important day today. It was super tough. I think it was the toughest stage of the Dakar. There were a lot of dunes at the beginning which were really soft and sometimes difficult to cross. On the stage, I just had one small mistake on a waypoint. I maybe lost two or three minutes. It was a tough race. I tried to push all day and up to now I’m happy with my performance. After the race day, we’ve done a super good job, every day catching up some minutes without mistakes. I want to thank all the people on the team, they’ve been working really hard. These two weeks have been really tough for everybody. I’m happy and we still have one more stage to go, over 160 km, so we need to keep focused because the race is not over until we cross the finishing line”.
