Yazeed Al Rajhi: “We tried to play it safe”

After suffering tyre problems on the first part of the day’s special, Yazeed Al Rajhi finished in fifth place, 4’32” behind the stage winner. The Saudi driver is fourth 18 minutes behind the general standings leader and is still in the reckoning for the podium.

“It was a good day for us. Everything is going well. We had two punctures and our third tyre is damaged. The first puncture happened after the first split and after that we had one more puncture and a damaged tyre. We tried to play it safe with our spare tyre. We didn’t want to make a mistake we were waiting for everybody to see what was going on. For sure the last part was very tricky, but Konstantin did the job very well”.
