"Álex does an amazing job"

Dakar 2019 | Stage 9 | Pisco > Pisco
January 16 th 2019 - 14:44 [GMT -5]

Nani Roma extended his rock-solid performance with an impressive second place on the eve of the finale. The Mini driver finished 4'58" and consolidated his second place in the general classification, where he now has a margin of over an hour over Sébastien Loeb.

"I tried to to my best. [It was] a really complicated stage, so difficult, also in navigation. Today I can say that my co-driver has been racing for five days with two fissures in the ribs. This is the guy. After the rest day, we had a big impact, and they're not really broken, but he's suffered a lot. And it's amazing, the job he does in these conditions. I'm so happy for him, he's a really strong man and we are here.

One day to go, maybe easier than these days, but the last days have been really tough, really difficult days, but we are happy."
