Gerard Farrés: "The toughest stage since the start"

Dakar 2019 | Stage 6 | Arequipa > San Juan de Marcona
January 13 th 2019 - 17:43 [GMT -5]

The former biker, third in 2017, finished the stage 12 minutes behind "Chaleco" López but made a great leap forward in the SxS classification.

"It was the toughest stage since the start of the Dakar. It was difficult for everyone and I got stuck at the beginning. I lost time, but we managed to limit the damage in the second half. Here we are, safe and sound, both the crew and our vehicle. Thank goodness Dani Oliveira and I navigated well. I'm very happy to be here."
