Axel Dutrie: "I was so unlucky the other days!"

The French rider, fifth overall in 2017, claimed his first Dakar stage.

"I'm over the moon with this stage win because it's my first. I was so unlucky the other days, always something to repair: a flat tyre, an oil leak or a petrol leak. Everything worked like a charm today, I got stuck two or three times and I helped a biker to get his bike unstuck, but it went well. I was expecting to move into the top 5, but not to win the stage."
