Toby Price: "I'm not quite finished with it yet"

January 1 st 2026 - 19:31 [GMT + 3]

Toby Price, a two-time Dakar champion on two wheels, has reclaimed factory status for his twelfth start. Following his remarkable Ultimate debut last season, the Australian will be driving a Toyota this year. Price believes he has what it takes, but he is well aware of the many pitfalls on the road to victory.

"There's no pressure from the team, but it's never easy. Once you have the good equipment, then the expectation is there to do well. But at the end of the day, also, I put enough pressure on myself. I want to do well and I want to win Dakar in four wheels. But yeah, it's going to take a lot of work. But it's a super big goal and dream that I want to do. But it's, yeah, I don't see it being as unachievable. So if I knew I couldn't do it, then I wouldn't be trying to push for it so much. But somewhere deep down, it's something that's telling me that I'm not quite finished with it yet. So yeah, all in all, we're excited to get out there and just, yeah, put a good result in and we'll see where it takes us from there."
