The Dakar is "a challenge for those who go, a dream for those who stay behind", as founder Thierry Sabine put it when he created the rally 45 years ago. Now, the race is living up to this motto by moving heaven and earth to bring the adventure to TV viewers, Internet users and readers all around the world. From the ups and downs of the adventurers to the jaw-dropping landscapes awaiting the competitors in Saudi Arabia, not to mention the tales of everyday life in the bivouac, Dakar fans will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of images in various supports and formats.

Wide international coverage

  • Four daily shows on the airwaves of the France Télévisions Group, the long-standing French broadcaster of the Dakar, will be dedicated to the 45th edition of the Dakar from 31 December 2022 to 15 January 2023.
  • The Dakar international daily show lasts 52 minutes and spans all the categories for both professional and amateur competitors. In France, the show will be broadcast every day at 9 pm from 1 to 7 January on Eurosport 1 (repeat on E2 at 10:30 pm) and at 9 pm from 8 to 15 January on Eurosport 2 (repeat on E1 at 11:30 pm).
  • Most of the long-standing international broadcasters of the Dakar adapt the daily show to put the spotlight on their locals: RTL 7 (Netherlands), TVE and TV3 Catalunya (Spain), TV NOVA (Czech Republic), LNK (Lithuania), SSC (Saudi Arabia), BeIN Sport (Middle East), ESPN (Latin America), the NBC Group (United States), SBS (Australia) and JSports (Japan).
  • Starting this year, Fox Sports will cover the Dakar in Mexico, TV NOVA will replace Czech TV as the broadcaster of the race in the Czech Republic and the Swedish digital platform Aftonbladet will run daily features on the event. Finally, Sky Sports Italia will be covering the Dakar with special correspondents on the ground and a robust news package.
