Nasser Al Attiyah: “There are three days left and we are going to try and do our best”

On completion of the special, the Qatari driver did not yet know that he had given Dacia its first stage victory on the Dakar or that he had gained 3’12’’ on Yazeed Al Rajhi, the new general rankings leader. However, Al Attiyah still has a significant gap of 25’21’’ to make up on the Saudi drive.

“It was a good stage. I’m waiting to see how much time we have gained because it was a very quick stage. But I can be happy with the result. There are three days left and we are going to try and do our best”.
