Nani Roma: “These two days are the crucial days”

Nani Roma suffered two punctures before the day’s pit stop, after which he was able to resume the stage with two new tyres, taking advantage of is rivals’ navigation problems to claw back time. The Spaniard finished in 8th place, 15’36’’ behind the stage winner. In the overall rankings, the official Ford driver is the new leader ahead of his team-mate Carlos Sainz (57’’ behind) and Nasser Al Attiyah (who trails by 1'10’’).
“I had three punctures today but I think everyone had problems today. […] After the middle of the stage with two punctures we had to go really slowly. After we found Nasser and everyone turning around searching. We turned a little bit too but we found the track. Then we had another puncture but everyone had problems today and we're here at the finish. We’ll see tomorrow. I knew this morning that these two days would be the crucial days. Now we’ll see and cross our fingers tomorrow. We must be humble and calm and try to finish tomorrow in Bisha”.
