Simon Vitse shored up his second place in the general classification by winning stage 7.

"It was really fast. We were a bit limited because we're capped at 130 km/h, but I had fun riding through the landscapes. Beautiful plateaus, beautiful dunes. I did quite well. In fact, I even tried to protect my quad by going at 70/80% of my potential. The goal remains the same: to finish the race.
