"It was a good day for me. I set a solid pace until the neutralisation. Then, I joined Barreda and Quintanilla and we set a high pace in a hard-to-navigate area, packed with notes that we read together to help each other out. Barreda led the charge on a super-fast plateau. Slowly but inexorable, I got dropped. I stuck to my pace and ended up losing a small amount of time. I stopped near the end to double-check a note. I think I did well today. Is consistency the key? The Dakar starts when you wake up and ends when you go to bed. As we saw today, there were several pitfalls. This is why I focus on the little details that add up in the end."
