The Russian winner of the quad category in 2017 is again battling Ignacio Casale for glory.

"I'm feeling happy, you know, dunes are really nice, they are like rollercoasters, you go and up and down. If you know how to ride, you can go really fast in the dunes, but you have to be really, really careful. We've seen a lot of broken cars and you can lose everything in one bad day. This is only the second day, it's no use to go too fast or to use up all your strength. We're battling with Ignacio in a repeat of last year. My idea is to keep my forces and concentration for the second week."
