Brock Heger: “What an adventure! What a past two days!”

Dakar 2025 | Stage 2 | BISHA > BISHA
January 6 th 2025 - 15:05 [GMT + 3]

After having won the prologue, Brock Heger picked up a further success by winning the demanding 48 HR Chrono stage. The young American, who is discovering the Dakar this year, beat his team-mate Xavier de Soultrait by 4'26’’. On this showing, the Sébastien Loeb Racing team is on top form!

“The past two days were good. What an adventure! What a past two days! Yesterday, we had a pretty good run. We had other issues at the beginning, but we pulled it together and go to our overnight spot. We were first car on the road at that point, so, for us, we knew where we were, we just wanted to play it cool and make sure we didn’t hit anything. The plan went flawlessly, we never had to get out of the car to change the BF Goodrich tyres. The plan is always to avoid any problems. We just made sure we hit the whole roadbook and everything in there. I believe Xavier is right here in second and hopefully we’ll have third as well. Last I knew, it was me and Xavier and our third car, Florent, was in third. Hopefully, that’s still the case and hopefully we can keep it that way. The Polaris is phenomenal. It’s the same car we race in America on the bajas. We’ve proven it there, Xavier showed up with it last year here on the Dakar and won it in the same car, so we’re proving that they’re very capable and very sure cars”.
