Ricky Brabec, who finished 8th on the 48 HR Chrono stage, has dropped off the general rankings provisional podium and now occupies 5th place, 15’25’’ behind the leader. His team-mates Skyler Howes and Tosha Schareina have moved in front of him in the general rankings. However, there are four Hondas in the top 6, making up an impressive hunting pack.
“I feel like this Chrono thing is kind of a waste… I mean, all the hard work we did yesterday just kind of went down the drain. All the hard work we did yesterday doesn’t matter, it’s all about what happens today. I’m happy to be at the bivouac and to look over the bike. We’ll push to the end and see what we can do, it’s only stage two. There’s a lot of racing left, a lot of kilometres left. We’ll see what happens. I’m not too happy right now, but, you know, it is what it is. During the Chrono the cars get a little pit stop and I wish the motorcycles got a pit stop as well, but it is what it is”.
