Nicolas Cavigliasso: “We’re happy to win the stage”

Nicolas Cavigliasso, the title holder and winner of the FIA Challenger Championship in 2025, lost any chance of defending his crown when his radiator broke during the second week of the race. The Argentinean is now fighting to score championship points and defend his chances in the W2RC.

 “Today was a good stage for us. We pushed from the first kilometre. We tried to gain minutes for the overall rankings but we had a good day, pushing hard, with good navigation and a good feeling in the car. We’re happy to win the stage. On the first week of the Dakar, I pushed but sometimes I lost time with the rocks, so I took my time with the car. But after the marathon stage, I had a problem with the radiator. It was very bad luck, just one rock broke the radiator and I lost too much time. But we pushed hard on this stage to win and hopefully we’re ready to win the next stage”.
