Ales Loprais: “We gained a few minutes but we couldn’t gain more”

Ales Loprais won his fifth special stage since the start in Yanbu, which is one less than last year at this stage. The Czech driver gained 2'31’’ on overall rankings leader Vaidotas Zala, who still has a lead of 16'24’’.

 “We tried to do as much as we could. We won the stage but there was a lot of dust. We gained a few minutes but we couldn’t gain more. We will see what it means in the final rankings but we did our best and we are happy with another stage victory. The decision is written, we just have to follow, so we’ll go as fast as possible, for every second, every kilometre”.
