Luciano Benavides: "I hope not to start too far ahead tomorrow"

Yesterday's winner opened the road on the dunes today. The HVA works rider finished 13th overall at over 4 minutes, helped by the time bonuses. Sitting eighth overall at more than 20 minutes down, he has a decent hand to play tomorrow as he starts in the second group.

"It was difficult to find the right track to go fast today. It was the first day of dunes and I had to open the way. I think I did a good job and gave my best. I hope not to start too far ahead tomorrow because it will be a long day with plenty of dunes. We'll see tomorrow if it was a good idea to finish ahead or not and what the other guys did. I hope I'll have a good track to follow tomorrow."
