Ekström forges ahead

Yesterday's winner, Mattias Ekström, has no intention of resting on his laurels. The Swede set the fastest time at km 37, just over 10" ahead of Nasser Al Attiyah. Guerlain Chicherit is in third place, one second behind the Qatari's Toyota. Sébastien Loeb remains within striking distance at 17". The nine-time WRC champion is just ahead of his compatriot Stéphane Peterhansel.
