"I took it easy because I didn't want to lose it all in the first stage, but my co-driver and I were on high alert. We didn't want a broken dune to catch us unawares. I still did pretty well. I'm sitting in third place right now, although far behind the fastest time. Another year, another demonstration by Nasser in the prologue. We've come to expect it. But it gives us an idea of where the other cars stand and what we can do. Our strategy was to try and set the right time to be able to choose our position for tomorrow. It was better to finish eleventh than tenth, but it was hard to pull off! Our choice for tomorrow will also depend on who we have in front. But one thing is for sure: we won't be starting near the front."
