Mitchell Guthrie: “It’s a dream start for me”

 With fifth place on the prologue, 41 seconds behind the day’s winner, Erik Goczał, Mitchell Guthrie has made a nice start to this year’s Dakar on which the American is aiming for victory!

 “It’s been a long way, we spent all of 2023 leading up to this, with the season, testing and everything. So, once you get here, you have scrutineering and all this stuff and the whole time I’m just ready to get going, we want to get started. Usually, I always dream of a good start on the prologue and to get it over with. Today, we did exactly what we wanted to do, with the navigation for which Kellon did amazing, the car was amazing and I’m happy with my driving. It’s a dream start for me, a perfect start, so I’m happy. I don’t really care where we are in the times, but I’m happy, so it’s good to get it over with”.
