Kevin Benavides: "I used the skills I developed on a motorbike"

The two-time winner of the Dakar motorbike race finished his first SSV special in seventh place, 22 seconds from the victor, Paul Spierings.  

"It was my first prologue on four wheels. I was really excited. It was a world apart from what I'm used to. The sensations were different, but I loved it. It was a nice prologue with loads of stones, but I think we set a decent pace without being reckless. I used the skills I developed on a motorbike to read the terrain and cut through the track, for example. But I also need to get used to the car because sometimes you can end up doing a wheelie, like the motorbikes! I'll have to strike the right balance."
