It is with tremendous pride, warmth, and anticipation we prepare to welcome the Dakar Rally back to the Kingdom for 2021. It will once again be our honour to extend our renowned hospitality to all competitors, crews, fans and media taking part, as well as all our now close friends and partners at the Amaury Sport Organisation.

The ambitious Vision 2030 blueprint aims to transform the country, diversify our economy and propel us into modernity. We are opening our doors both for our people and for the people of the world to see what a nation with a defined purpose and a unified vision is able to achieve. Our ambition under our sporting pillar is to inspire greatness in the Kingdom, while promoting mass participation in sport. We’re building to establish an athletic environment and distinguished competitive sports field reflective of modern-day Saudi Arabia, with the mission to organize and grow sport by developing a national pool of athletes and providing exemplary training facilities. The iconic sporting moments we are able to play host to, however, only come to fruition through dedication and hard work, by many people and organizations. Dakar Saudi is a visionary project that comes with both great challenges and opportunities. For us, the values of Dakar and the wider goals and ambitions of A.S.O. make them a natural partner.

Dakar Saudi Arabia 2020 was the greatest race our part of the world has ever seen. It aligned in every way with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to redefine human ambition and adventure. We welcomed the world and invited them to embark with us on an adventure like never before. We can now only continue to strive to organize a Dakar Saudi 2021 that is even more beautiful.
