Ignacio Casale: "I've put in about 15,000 kilometres this year"

The Chilean winner of the quad category in 2014 and runner-up last year has reached Lima in an ideal state of mind after his preparation went without a hitch.

"I was in very poor shape last year after an injury left me out of the game for two months. This year has been completely different. I managed to put in about 15,000 kilometres during my build-up. It's been a very good season. However, I know that there are other amazing riders who also want to win this race. I'll have to ride smart to win the Dakar, so I won't be chasing stages left, right and centre. I'm feeling good, but I can't afford to get complacent."
