Sebastian Cavallero is one of the 25 competitors and seven bikers from Peru in the 2018 Dakar.

Sebastián Cavallero, one of the first competitors to go through the administrative scrutineering, is not a minute late. The start of his challenge is getting closer and closer. In just a few days, he will probably make it to his home town in Arequipa, which marks the end of stage 5, but the Peruvian biker has his sights firmly set on the overall finish in Córdoba after a lacklustre first attempt in 2016: "I had to go home after my bike's engine gave out. This year round, I'll be riding a real rally-raid bike, a KTM, which is far more reliable, so I think anything is possible." However, Sebastián is not willing to settle for completing the 40^th edition. As a true fighter, he also wants a slice of glory: "my other goal is to finish as the best Peruvian in the motorcycle classification."
