MOTOS | SANDERS WINS

Daniel Sanders has accomplished the best time on the day’s special. The Australian, who did not have to open the way, has proved to be sufficiently quick enough to keep ahead of his rivals who accumulated bonuses, such as Skyler Howes and especially Mason Klein, both of whom trailed Sanders by more than 6’ at the finishing line.

CARS | CHICHERIT WINS STAGE 3

Guerlain Chicherit has achieved the best time on the day’s special. The Frenchman completed the stage with a lead of 3’26’’ over Henk Lategan and more than 5’ over Orlando Terranova. The day’s losers feature in particular Carlos Sainz, who ground to a halt for almost half an hour and relinquishes command of the general rankings. The Spaniard finished almost 1 hour behind the day’s winner.

QUADS | A GOOD DAY FOR GIROUD

Alexandre Giroud is not the title holder for nothing… The Frenchman has posted the best time on the day’s special and has taken advantage of his rivals’ mishaps, starting with those of Manuel Andújar, to open up a significant gap in the general rankings.

LW PROTOTYPES | JONES WINS IN THE T3 CATEGORY

Austin Jones has just completed the day’s special that has been somewhat shortened. The American, who led from the first check point, resisted the attacks from his countryman Seth Quintero to win for the first time this year in the category.

SSV | NUMBER 2 FOR MAREK GOCZAŁ

Even though he trailed Cristiano Batista after 335 km by 2’’, Marek Goczał regained the upper hand at the finish to win for the second consecutive time. Batista had to content himself with the second-best time of the day, 20’’ from victory.

TRUCK| NUMBER THREE FOR MACIK

Martin Macík has won a third special on the 45th edition of the Dakar, but it is not sufficient to make up for the time lost during stage 2 to his countryman Aleš Loprais, who still leads the general standings.
