CRUSHING BLOW OF THE DAY: ONLY COX LEFT FOR SHERCO
History has repeated itself for Sherco. Last year, their official Rally 2 class rider Harith Noah entered the race as the reigning 2024 champion in the second division in the bike race. As early as the prologue, the Indian rider fell, injured himself and had to withdraw from the race. Two days ago, Noah fell during the prologue but picked himself back up again. Yesterday, however, another fall and a back injury put paid to his tenacity. Last January, Lorenzo Santolino finished 18th after winning the third stage but today, ‘Santo’ fell and damaged his machine too badly to continue. The French brand now has only one representative left: Bradley Cox. The South African currently lies 13th place, less than a quarter of an hour behind the leader. The Nîmes-based constructor owes its best result to Santolino, who finished 6th in Jeddah in 2021. Cox, who the manufacturer recruited less than a year ago, is the new and only hope for the French team.
