“The Dakar Rally needs a plan and a strategy”
CREW FACTS…
I.A.M.
- A regular figure of the Saudi off-road scene, Ibrahim Al Muhna will be taking on his third Dakar come January.
- He first appeared back in 2022 behind the steering wheel of a Toyota Land Cruiser and managed to reach the finish. Two years later and still in the Stock class for production vehicles he again completed the entire rally and had the honor of getting on the podium of his class in third spot behind the two official Toyota drivers.
- After a full year competing in the FIA World Baja Cup (4th of his class), the Saudi from Riyadh has decided to change vehicles. He will indeed be competing in a smaller T4 SSV alongside his co-driver Faisal Al Suwayh.
F.A.S.
- Faisal Al Suwayh was initiated to the world of off-road rallies on a quad. He even took part in the FIM World Baja Cup back ihn 2021. He then moved to a co-driver’s seat and focused just on the navigation.
- It was only natural for him to one day take part in the Dakar. It however took a few years. Faisal discovered the rally as part of a Saudi team working in logistics. He was finally given his opportunity to shine in 2024 when he joined Ibrahim Al Muhna in his Toyota LandCruiser.
- After taking part in the FIA World Baja Cup, the 32-year-old will be living a new adventure: this time in the cockpit of a Can-Am SSV.
2025 AMBITIONS
F.A.S.: “I am crazy about rallies and racing in general. It was a dream come true, to finally take part in the most difficult rally in the world. I became the first Saudi co-driver to ascend the podium (third of the Stock class). That was an honor for me and I aspire to first place in the future. The Dakar Rally needs a plan and a strategy, and it is very difficult. These are the beautiful effects of the Dakar ».
