- Guorui Wang will be making his Dakar debut in 2026 for the Longmai Motorsport team, who are also coming to the world's biggest rally for the first time this year. They will be getting support from the HanWei Motorsport team, a well-established presence on the Dakar bivouac.
- Guorui is the CEO of a real estate company and has long been interested in motorsport. He used to watch the Dakar on television and decided to start competing in 2021. After doing some local races, he worked his way up to the prestigious Taklimakan Rally in 2024, and now feels ready to tackle the big one.
- The 46-year-old will be getting behind the wheel of the Longmai Motorsport WGR-T1+, which boasts a Chevrolet LS3 6.2-litre engine. This will be his first time competing alongside navigator and fellow rookie Yu Tian.

- Yu Tian is a talented driver and navigator who has been working in motorsport for over a decade. He will also be making his Dakar debut in 2026.
- The 34-year-old has no family ties to Po Tian, who will be driving for the HanWei Motorsport team at Dakar 2026, but they are good friends and come from the same part of Inner Mongolia.

G.W.: "I've gained some useful experience competing over the years, but this first Dakar is more about learning. I've always thought rally-raid is an extremely difficult and challenging sport. I want to test my limits. My biggest wish is to successfully complete the race in my first appearance. I don't have high expectations, but I feel ready. This is my first time working with Yu Tian. We will be driving the Longmai Motorsport WGR-T1+, and Dakar 2026 will also serve to test its performance. A successful Dakar would mean we reached the finish line, and the car was stable."
Y.T.: "I developed an interest in racing at a young age. After taking part in several cross-country events, I realised I had solid driving and navigation skills, which gradually gave me the confidence to pursue a professional racing career. I've now been competing for almost a decade. Once I joined the racing world, I learned about the Dakar from a lot of the more experienced guys. It's a world-class event and I'm very excited to be able to participate this year. I hope to enjoy the racing and I'll do my best to get a strong result."
