“The main goal is marking a new milestone in my rallying career”

Cesare Zacchetti has plenty of experience on the Dakar, but he still has the same passion for the world’s greatest rally-raid that inspired him when he was 15 years old and dreaming of the dunes of the desert while going to motocross tracks. And that same spirit of adventure is still pushing him to return to Saudi Arabia for what will be his sixth Dakar. In his daily life, he runs an outdoor clothing store, more fashionable than technical or extreme, because life and outdoor sports are a real passion for him. He will once again be competing in the “Original by Motul” category and his goal will be to reach the end. An approach that paid off in 2021, when he finished 38th overall, improving on his 2020 participation by 35 positions. In 2022, he finished 66th overall and 15th in Original by Motul. In 2023, he raced in the Lucky Explorer Team and crossed the finish line in 11th position in Original by Motul. For 2024, he will face a new challenge riding a Kove 450 Rally bike.

C.Z.: “I’m deeply passionate about rallying and I love exploring new places worldwide. My training program is quite intensive; it includes cycling sessions and a lot of time spent on a bike developing endurance and skill. The 2023 Dakar was challenging due to the unexpected weather, no one expected so much water! Cycling isn’t just a part of my training; it’s a year-round dedication for me with both endurance rides and rally-specific practices. I’m looking forward to 2024, to tackle a new challenge with Kove as part of the Original by Motul category. The main goal is clear: cross the finish line with this innovative bike, marking a new milestone in my rallying career.”
